The Bali Hai Restaurant continues to be a favorite San Diego venue. The spectacular view of San Diego Bay and the downtown skyline make it the perfect location for any special event. With three versatile private rooms ranging from the large indoor space with panoramic views to the outdoor pavilion on San Diego Bay, we accommodate festivities of almost any type or size. Whether you’re planning a class reunion, birthday, anniversary, rehearsal, memorial, fundraiser, business meeting, seminar or corporate events, the place to be is the Bali Hai!

Hawaiian Village


The Hawaiian Village is a unique outdoor pavilion located directly on the Bay. It is a one walled pavilion, allowing guests to truly appreciate San Diego’s exquisite climate. The pavilion contains a private bar and restrooms.


Up to 200 guests. Capacity varies depending on the type of function and event set-up.

Tiki Room


Located upstairs, just off the dining room, the Tiki Room offers a more intimate private setting.

She really was fantastic, she was very nice to all my guests and took care of their needs. Free self-parking located in front of the restaurant for dining and event guests. Prefer to arrive via water? A private dock is also available for guests’ use.

Four hotels located on Shelter Island all within one mile of Bali Hai. Additional hotels, located just off Shelter Island, are available for event guests. Bali Hai event hosts may be eligible for special group room rates for out of town guests.
